IPM

IPM is an ecosystem-based strategy that focuses on long-term prevention of pests or their damage through a combination of techniques such as biological control, habitat manipulation, modification of cultural practices, and use of resistant varieties. Pesticides are used only after monitoring indicates they are needed according to established guidelines, and treatments are made with the goal of removing only the target organism. Pest control materials are selected and applied in a manner that minimizes risks to human health, beneficial and nontarget organisms, and the environment.

RELAY

A relay allows circuits to be switched by electrical equipment: for example, a timer circuit with a relay could switch power at a preset time. For many years relays were the standard method of controlling industrial electronics systems.

Magnetic contactors

Magnetic contractors are the same as the electrical relays which are used in a number of electric motors. Magnetic contractors are used in the electric motors to balance the change in frequency of the motor or the state of the motor which can be termed as the switching of the motor from ON and OFF state.

Passive Components

A passive element is an electrical component that does not generate power, but instead dissipates, stores, and/ or releases it. Passive elements include resistances, capacitors, and coils. Uses of passive components in electronics devices Passive devices or components do not generate energy but can store it or dissipate it. Passive devices are the main components used in electronics such as resistors, inductors, capacitors, and transformers which together are required to build any electrical or electronic circuits. The base can then control the current flow in the two other terminals. Inductors: these are passive components that store energy in form of a magnetic field. An inductor simply consists of a coil of wire wound around some kind of core. The advantage of passive component devices utilizes power or energy in a circuit.

Transformer

A transformer is a passive component that electrical energy from one electrical circuit to another circuit, or multiple circuits. This is the most common type of transformer, widely used in electric power transmission and appliances to convert mains voltage to low voltage to power electronic devices. They are available in power ratings ranging from mW to MW. The insulated laminations minimize eddy current losses in the iron core. Uses of transformer

IGBT

IGBT stands for insulated gate bipolar transistor. It is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate terminal. The IGBT combines, in a single device, a control input with a MOS structure and a bipolar power transistor that acts as an output switch. IGBTs are suitable for high-voltage, high-current applications. Uses of IGBT

IGBT are widely used as switching devices in the inverter circuit( for DC-to- AC conversion) for driving small to large motors. IGBTs for inverter applications are used in home appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, industrial motors, and automotive main motor controllers to improve their efficiency. It improves dynamic performance and efficiency and reduced the level of audible noise. It is equally suitable in resonant mode converter circuits. Optimized IGBT is available for both low conduction loss and low switching loss.

IC

An integrated circuit (IC), sometimes called a chip, microchip or microelectronic circuit, is a semiconductor wafer on which thousands or millions of tiny Resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors are fabricated. An IC can function as an amplifier, oscillator, timer, counter, logic gate, computer memory, microcontroller, or microprocessor. An IC is the fundamental building block of all modern electronic devices. As the name suggests, it's an integrated system of multiple miniaturized and interconnected components embedded into a thin substrate of semiconductor material (usually silicon crystal).

A single IC could contain thousands or millions of:

  • transistors
  • resistors
  • capacitors
  • diodes

Additional components may also reside on it, all interconnected through a complex web of semiconductor wafers, silicon, copper, and other materials. Size-wise, each component is small, usually microscopic. The resulting circuit a monolithic chip is also tiny -- often just enough to occupy a few square millimeters or centimeters of space.
